Women of Color in Tech
Through a grant from JPMorgan Chase, the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber and the Workforce Innovation Center are partnering with the Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio, Community Action Agency – Cincinnati | Hamilton County (CAA), Brighton Center, and the Gaskins Foundation to offer the Women of Color in Tech program through the Grow with Google platform. The program aims to upskill and reskill women of color in the Cincinnati region to get them employed in tech roles like IT Customer Support, Data Analytics, User Experience Design (UX), Project Management, and more.
The Women of Color in Tech partners offer free 12-week training programs to get women certified for tech roles via the Grow with Google platform. The programs are designed to meet participants where they are with flexible virtual and in-person options as well as provided childcare. Once certification is complete, the partners will facilitate employer interviews tailored to each participant to help them secure a job that best fits their new skillset, personal needs, and career aspirations.

Why We Do It
Women are disproportionally missing out on the ongoing boom in IT jobs, and women of color even more so.
