How do I become a volunteer?
There are many opportunities for individuals and groups to volunteer at Brighton Center. Navigate the buttons above to learn about available opportunities and reach out to the Volunteer Manager at 859-491-8303 or email volunteer@brightoncenter.com.

Is there a time commitment for volunteering?
We appreciate any time you can spend volunteering with us! Some of our volunteers spend one evening a year with us, and some spend five days a week volunteering. You can guide your own volunteering journey.

What is the minimum age I can volunteer at Brighton Center?
We have a wide variety of opportunities available for families or groups with children. All volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Do I need to submit a background check to volunteer?
You only need to submit a background check for certain volunteer opportunities and locations. Please reach out to the Volunteer Manager at volunteer@brightoncenter.com with any questions.

If a background check is needed, do I need to pay for it?
You are not required to pay for your background check. However, if you would like to make a tax-deductible donation to offset the cost, $20 is the approximate cost per person.

Do all of your volunteer opportunities involve directly working with customers?
Many of our opportunities involve working with our customers. However, we have other opportunities that support our organization behind the scenes, including administrative work, pantry organization, and delivery pick up and drop off opportunities.

What do I need to bring with me when I volunteer?
Volunteers do not need to bring anything with them to their volunteer shift unless they require their own community service documentation for school or court. All registration and scheduling should be completed prior to your first shift unless discussed beforehand with the Volunteer Manager.

Where are volunteer opportunities located?
Many volunteer opportunities are located in and around Newport and Covington, Kentucky. We have many locations in Campbell, Kenton, and Boone Counties.
